This course helps clinicians understand dissociation as an adaptive form of protection shaped by history, relationship, and the body. Through demonstrations using Collage, Sandtray, and Fraser’s Table, participants learn to recognize early signs of dissociation, support a client’s gradual return to presence, and stay regulated during moments of overwhelm. The training explores how attachment patterns, cultural context, disability, and transgenerational experiences influence dissociation across the lifespan. It also offers practical ways to help clients make meaning of material that once felt unreachable while maintaining ethical pacing and attuned therapeutic presence.
